On April 24, 2013, the Mound City Bar family lost one of our brightest stars: RONDA FAY WILLIAMS. Ronda was active in the MCBA for many years and played an integral role in the planning and execution of several of the organization's key programs. In 2006, Ronda decided to implement some changes to the Annual CLE Retreat. Along with co-chair Ebony McCain, Ronda revised the retreat in 2007 making it one of the MCBA's most highly anticipated events. Ronda chaired the CLE Retreat Committee every year thereafter. The retreat provides a rich CLE offering and fun social activities including a golf tournament. Retreat attendees regularly include state & federal judges, corporate general counsels, the Missouri Bar President, Missouri commissioners and other representatives, as well as attorneys from across the state. Ronda recognized that the MCBA holds a wealth of knowledge and wisdom and this event provided an opportunity for the members and other practitioners to learn from that rich experience. Ronda saw a need for a fun program with a goal of improving the scholarship of our members and attendees and lending to the quality of their legal work. In 2013, the Annual CLE Retreat was renamed after Ronda. For more than ten years we have ensured that her commitment to service lives on. We hope you will join us for the next one.
